Torsemide
Overview
Torsemide is a pyridine-sulfonylurea type loop diuretic used to treat edema associated with heart failure, renal disease, or hepatic disease. It functions by inhibiting the Na+/K+/2Cl- carrier system (symporter) in the thick ascending limb of the loop of Henle.
