We collect data to provide enterprise-grade intelligence services. This includes:

• Account Information: Name, work email, job title, and organization details.
• Usage Data: Search queries, watched assets, and interaction logs within the platform.
• Commercial Data: If you use our Dealroom or CRM features, we process the data you input (e.g., RFI details) as a Data Processor, while you remain the Data Controller.

3. How We Use Your Data

We process your personal data for the following legitimate business interests:

• To provide, maintain, and improve the PharmaTek platform.
• To authenticate your identity and prevent unauthorized access.
• To communicate significant product updates, security alerts, and administrative messages.
• To comply with legal obligations (e.g., audit trails for regulatory compliance).

4. Data Sovereignty & Security

Your data is stored securely using enterprise-grade encryption (AES-256) at rest and TLS 1.3 in transit. For enterprise clients, we offer data residency options to ensure compliance with specific jurisdictional requirements.

• Service Providers: Cloud infrastructure providers (e.g., AWS, Supabase) who assist in service delivery under strict data processing agreements.

7. Personal Data of Clinical Investigators & KOLs

To provide market-intelligence and sourcing services, PharmaTek maintains profiles of clinical investigators and key opinion leaders ("KOLs") compiled from public sources (clinical-trial registries such as ClinicalTrials.gov, institutional registries, and scholarly databases such as OpenAlex/ROR). These profiles may include professional identifiers (name, institution, country, specialty), publication and trial metrics, and — for some individuals — professional contact details.

• Lawful basis: Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) UK GDPR) — enabling pharmaceutical organisations to identify and engage relevant scientific experts. We have completed a Legitimate Interests Assessment and a Data Protection Impact Assessment for this processing.
• Profiling:We derive a non-automated "KOL tier" indicator from public activity metrics. It produces no legal or similarly significant effect on the individual.
• Data minimisation: Contact details are never published in the open catalogue. They are released only to entitled subscribers through an access-logged request, and via the API only under a signed data-processing addendum.
• Your rights: Any investigator may object to this processing or request access, correction, or erasure by emailing info@pharmatek.co.uk. On a valid erasure request we suppress the profile from the platform and delete the associated contact data.

9. Contractual Relationships

If your organisation enters a paid subscription via our Order Form, we process account and usage data as described above to deliver the contracted service. Enterprise data processing agreements are available on request for annual contracts.
