Teduglutide
Overview
Teduglutide is a recombinant form of human glucagon-like peptide-2 (GLP-2) that enhances intestinal absorption and is used to treat adults with short bowel syndrome who are dependent upon parenteral support. It increases intestinal and portal blood flow and inhibits gastric acid secretion.
