Rabeprazole Sodium

Overview

Rabeprazole Sodium is a proton pump inhibitor that suppresses gastric acid secretion by specific inhibition of the H+/K+-ATPase enzyme system at the secretory surface of the gastric parietal cell. It is widely used in the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), duodenal ulcers and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome.
