Famotidine

Overview

Famotidine is an H2 histamine receptor antagonist used to treat and prevent ulcers in the stomach and intestines. It works by decreasing the amount of acid the stomach produces, thus providing relief from heartburn associated with acid indigestion and sour stomach.
