Pantoprazole

Overview

Pantoprazole is a proton pump inhibitor that decreases the amount of acid produced in the stomach and is used to treat erosive esophagitis and other conditions involving excess stomach acid, such as Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. It is available as a generic medication and under various trade names worldwide.
