Overview
Methotrexate sodium is a folate analog metabolic inhibitor that exerts its antineoplastic and immunosuppressive properties by inhibiting the enzyme dihydrofolate reductase, interfering with DNA synthesis, repair, and cellular replication. It is used in the treatment of various types of cancer and autoimmune diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis.
