Overview
Lomitapide Mesylate is an inhibitor of microsomal triglyceride transfer protein and is used as an adjunct to a low-fat diet and other lipid-lowering treatments for the prevention and chronic management of hyperlipidemia. It reduces levels of cholesterol by limiting the secretion of triglyceride-rich lipoproteins into the bloodstream.
