Sacubitril/valsartan

Overview

Sacubitril/Valsartan is a combination of sacubitril, a neprilysin inhibitor, and valsartan, an angiotensin II receptor blocker, used to reduce the risk of cardiovascular death and hospitalization for heart failure patients with reduced ejection fraction. This combination enhances the protective neurohormonal systems of the heart while suppressing the harmful systems, promoting vasodilation and blood pressure reduction.
