Chlorthalidone

Overview

Chlorthalidone is a thiazide-like diuretic used to treat hypertension and edema. It works by inhibiting sodium and chloride reabsorption in the distal convoluted tubules of the nephron, thereby increasing urine output and reducing blood volume.
