Linaclotide

Overview

Linaclotide is a guanylate cyclase-C agonist used to treat irritable bowel syndrome with constipation and chronic idiopathic constipation. It works by increasing the secretion of chloride and bicarbonate into the intestinal lumen, resulting in increased intestinal fluid and accelerated transit.
