Overview

Laronidase is an enzyme replacement therapy used to treat patients with mucopolysaccharidosis I (MPS I), a lysosomal storage disorder caused by the deficiency of the enzyme alpha-L-iduronidase. It works by breaking down glycosaminoglycans that build up in cells over time, alleviating symptoms associated with the disorder.
