Overview

Agalsidase beta is a recombinant form of alpha-galactosidase A used as enzyme replacement therapy in the treatment of Fabry disease, a genetic disorder resulting from the buildup of a particular type of fat, called globotriaosylceramide, in the body's cells. The enzyme facilitates the breakdown of this fat, relieving some of the symptoms associated with the disorder.
