Overview
Vismodegib is a small molecule inhibitor of the Hedgehog signaling pathway, primarily used in the treatment of basal cell carcinoma. It works by binding to Smoothened, a component of the Hedgehog pathway, blocking the pathway’s signaling and leading to reduced tumor growth.
