Overview
Odevixibat is a potent inhibitor of the ileal bile acid transporter (IBAT), which is used in the treatment of progressive familial intrahepatic cholestasis to reduce serum bile acids. It works by decreasing bile acid reabsorption and increasing fecal excretion, thus alleviating the symptoms of cholestasis.
