Overview

Idursulfase is a recombinant formulation of the human enzyme iduronate-2-sulfatase, used to treat Hunter syndrome, a rare, inherited disorder. It works by replacing the deficient or absent enzyme in individuals with the condition, thus helping to reduce the accumulation of glycosaminoglycans.
