Exemestane

Overview

Exemestane is an oral steroidal aromatase inhibitor used in the treatment of estrogen-receptor positive breast cancer in postmenopausal women. It works by decreasing the amount of estrogen produced by the body, thus slowing or stopping the growth of breast cancer cells that rely on estrogen to proliferate.
