Acetazolamide

Overview

Acetazolamide is a carbonic anhydrase inhibitor that is used to treat glaucoma, epilepsy, and altitude sickness. It reduces the formation of hydrogen and bicarbonate ions in the body, which decreases fluid pressure in the eyes and brain.
