Overview

Romiplostim is a thrombopoietin receptor agonist used to increase platelet counts in patients with chronic immune thrombocytopenia who have had an insufficient response to corticosteroids, immunoglobulins, or splenectomy. It functions as a fusion protein linking a thrombopoietin receptor-binding domain to an Fc segment of human immunoglobulin.
