Cholestyramine

Overview

Cholestyramine is a bile acid sequestrant primarily used to lower cholesterol levels in the blood. It works by binding bile acids in the intestine, preventing their reabsorption, and is often used to treat hypercholesterolemia and itching associated with certain types of liver disease.
